RE: Bear First Strike Bow
If I remember correctly, there were actually at least 2 models of the First Strike. The original (which I owned) was 42" axle to axle, had an 8" brace height (or thereabouts), had energy wheels that were adjustable for draw length, and had 65% letoff. The AMO rating was 217, I believe. It was built on the "Power Balanced" cast magnesium riser. Mine was a good shooter, but did have some quality control issues and vibration to it.
The second First Strike I remember was built on a different, more angular, less curved fiser. I don't recall the name of that riser, but they also used it for the Superstrike (single cam version of the First Strike). The second generation First Strikes were 44" Axle to Axle, had a brace height of 7.5" (I think), and had an AMO rating of 224. I'm not sure which version you are asking about. Both bows were pretty decent bows for the early-mid "90's.
