I'm in the camp that thinks accuracy kills, not speed. Because of this, I would pick a carbon arrow based on straigtness and affordability rather than weight.
If all you are doing is hunting, I would also recommend aluminum shafts such as Easton's XX-75. Not too expensive, very consistant manufacturing, and pack quite a punch when combined with 100 or 125 gr broadheads.
Just be sure to check the fitting charts for whatever arrows you choose to ensure the spine is correct. And if you are on the border, you might have to test both sizes. (I usually prefer the stronger shaft when I'm on the border since I shoot 125gr heads)
