Deartale your amazing. A fingers shooter without a tab? I shoot at least 2 times a week all year long and have never even tried to shoot without a tab. I can tell your not a cheese maker by profession.

Bowman, Any type of Flipper rest will work with fingers. Another inexpensive magnetic rest is the Terry and Terry Plus. The Terry is a fixed wire rest and goes for about $8. The Plus is adjustable for clearance. The Flipper rest sticks to the riser with double face tape and there is no need for a cushion plunger. Both Terry rests are held on with the plunger. All can be purchased from lancasterarchery.com and are very reasonable. I'm not sure if Oakie has a web page, but their rest is also magnetic and built of machined aluminum and is fully adjustable. They also stand by their products. I have been using the same rest and cushion plunger for the past 15 years. I shot an Oregon bow until the limb started to delaminate and since they are no longer in business, my lifetime warranty left when they did. When I purchased my Hoyt in 2003, I just cleaned them up and transferred to the new bow.

As far as shooting fingers without a tab, I started shooting 5 years ago and didn't know I was suppose to use one. Never tried one. It doesn't seem to be hard on my fingers. I shoot at least a few arrows each day. It works for me so I go with it. Sometimes ignorance is bliss

Releases are fine for shooting rubber deer and other stationary targets, but they've got drawbacks for hunting. I don't care how fast you are with a release, fingers are quicker into action for those times when a quick shot will put meat on the table. I've never had my fingers CLANK against the bow or stand and scare all the deer out of the county. It's happened with a release - which is why I never hunted with one again.

Fingers do cost a few fps of arrow speed, but a fingers release is SO much quieter than a mechanical release - no game spooking metallic 'CLICK'. For most people, fingers might not give the absolute accuracy of a mechanical release, but a good fingers shooter doesn't give up much in accuracy (I actually shoot BETTER with my fingers than I can with a release!). It takes a little more practice in order to become a good fingers shooter, but that's no problem if you enjoy shooting with your God given fingers. It's a lot easier to pass up watching 'The Simpsons' to go out back and shoot a few arrows when you enjoy shooting.
