I was clearing some shooting lanes and marking yardage last weekend. Around my stand a 20 yd shot is going to be a long one. I am sighted in at 20 but feel my best opportunities may come at distances somewhat closer than that. At 10 yd I am about 3 in. high. Would there be any disadvantage to changing my top pin to 15 yd and avoiding the need to hold low for shorter shots?? What is your experience?

I'm only 1" high at 10 so I don't worry too much.

20 yards , my 10 yard shot is 3/4 to an inch high , most of my hunting setups have a 30 yard pin allso , and thats it 2 pins for me .

20yards/30/40/60 (i only use the 60 for fun in the backyard)

my bow will shoot a little below the 20pin at 10

I have 2 pins 15 and 30. I can use my top pin for everything from 10 to 25 and the bottom for everything else up to 30.

My top pin is set at 25. So is my bottom one. With it I am dead on from 0-33 yards...

18 yards. That's the shortest distance my rangefinder will range.

My farthest pin is set at 35 and that is the farthest distacne that I feel comfortable shooting. Anywhere between 10 and 35 yards is right in my neck of the woods. My 20 yard pin does shoot about right on at 10 yards.
