the grim reaper broadheads are the same thing but at least the blade is set back a little further. im not sure but i think this would help with a quartering away angle a little better. i still would rather hit perfect broadside then shoot em quartering away with the expanable broadheads.

I have heard they leave a great blood trail.
As noted before arrow placement is the determining factor for how much blood actually hits the ground. If your entrance and exit holes are high up on the deer, not much blood is going to drain on the ground reguardless of what broadhead you used.

I have talked with people who shoot a lot of deer every year and they were using Muzzy and have switched to Spitfires. In there words, the blood trails were dramatically better with the spitfire. The group of people I talked with have killed more then 50 deer with these broadheads. I am a die hard Muzzy and Mathews fan but after this year it is looking more like Spitfires and Bowtech for me.;)

Glen,

I don't think you will go wrong with the Spifires. I have heard stories from guys who said that they never opened up after the hit but I never saw that personally. I just went with the Scorpion XP's last year because of the cut on contact tip. The rubber band is a pain but I really like them, plus they are cheaper than the Spitfire XP and have a full blade replacement package.

Steve

Thx for the store name. I have been in there a few times.
