I typically take on broadhead from each pack that I buy and use it as a "practice head" for the rest of the pack. After a year or two I end up having more than enough heads to choose from and still several to practice with to verify that the point of impact is the same.

The dental floss/serving idea is worthwhile though as well.

Since the blades are external you will still be dulling the blades. Why is lossing a rubber band a big deal. I got like 50 for 2 or 3 bucks.

Yeah, I know they are, but I have a real problem with being extremely picky about broadhead flight so I want to shoot them to make absolutely sure they are flying true and hitting with the field tips.

So far, the Snypers are flying and hitting the same point as my field tips. I'm very confident with this setup and can't wait to let one loose on a deer.

I have noticed that a well placed mechanical has a tendency to put deer down a bit quicker than a well placed fixed broadhead. On average 25 yards shorter blood trail than a fixed. Mechanicals are for real.
