Default Limb savers on my Xtec question...

Is there a specific spot where my limb savers need to be on the limbs?? The last time I took my bow into the shop, he must have forgot to tighten them back down and they slid all the way towards the riser. No big deal. I just retightened them about in the middle. Is that the right spot or is there a better one?

Thanks

I'll have to look at mine, but I'm pretty sure they are about an inch from the control cables on my "X". Seems to be a pretty good spot.

From Limbsaver site:
To install LimbSaver® to split limb bow:

1. Starting with the lower limb first, place Split LimbSaver® on inside of limb as far out as possible, but at least 3/4" from cables. (see diagram A). Allen screw mounting bracket should be on outside of limb.

2. Then place top LimbSaver® the same distance from the axle as the bottom LimbSaver®.

3. Do not over tighten Allen screw. Center on limb and finger tighten until snug, then tighten with Allen wrench 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn.

Note: Replace when worn.
Remember to replace Solid LimbSaver® when they are worn. This is when the mushroom is tearing away from the stem. The longevity of the LimbSaver® may vary depending upon how many times you shoot your bow and a variety of other conditions. Made with our proprietary NAVCOM™ (Noise and Vibration Control Material).
