i seriously considered the mantis w/ V drive.

i am still pretty new to this though and decided not to get in over my head by needing to do a lot of adjusting so i went with the fixed pin Nitro Extreme from Trophy Ridge

I've been hearing several stories about the Trophy Ridge Mantis sights coming apart for some reason. I don't have any 1st hand experience w/ this. But for the price of that sight.. I'd expect more.

I'm using the Predator and I like it real well. Here's a link to my thoughts of it when I set it up.

went with the predator, couple of people at work has been using the same ones they got for three, four years so i think they might be more reliable in the long run even though they are a little harder to set. they told me after i get it set it is really accerate. thanks for you guys info, best thing to do is ask the guys thats been there before. thanks again.

I recently installed a Mantis V-Drive on my bow, and just as quickly took it back off. As was said previously: "But for the price of that sight.. I'd expect more."
During some tuning and (attempted) sight in, the sight repeatedly loosened about every 2-3 shots, after about 3 dozen arrows, the horizontal adjustment dovetail wouldn't even secure the sight, and the v-drive had a lot more play in it.
Trying to get this resolved now (through the retailer and trophy ridge).
Not slamming trophy ridge, just my experience with this one product.
