Which rest is better conventional or drop-away

I'm still trying to figure out which is better... shooting off a padded shelf or off my knuckle. And, if it's the padded shelf, which is better... leather or a rug? [8D]

I gave Frank an "outgrown" ash self-bow and an arrow made of multiflora rose for the boy. My guess is that the little guy likes the bright colors.

Back on topic:
I like dropaways, but I don't have much experience with them.....the concept is sound. I had a Mirage that was loud and a pain to tune. Conventional rest are 'in the way' the whole time and are likely the root of most tuning porblems....ie, fletch contact.



Lets talk about the kid with the crossbow
