i just bought a hoyt razortec and was paper tuning it from 3 foot to ten yards it puts bullet holes when shoot outside from 20 yards to 40 you can see the arrow croke screw what can be wrong??? here is my set up hoyt razortec 29 inch draw 28 inch 2315 arrow 70 pound draw and nap dropaway 2000

and the center shot right now is 5/8 to 10/16 inch and nock point set 1/16 inch high

Are you shooting a damaged or bent aluminum arrows for your tests?

How about you draw length modules are they both set the same?

What point weight are you shooting also vanes or feathers?

arrow are perfect the cam draw length setting are the same 100 grain tip and shooting vanes

I don't know about a cam.5 ..............but if it were a single cam I'd check for idler wheel/cam lean !! It may just need one side of the yoke twisted !!

May be worth a look anyway !!

i think i have found the problem after paper tuning it at 1-10 yards i decided it has to be my form so i went back to 20 yard set the paper up and after 20 shot 10 were bullet hole i have been shooting real hard for the last two day.. and i think iam pullin the bow beacuse the paper tears were not all one way. has anybody else had this problem

I'd suggest switching to 125 gn points. That's the easy part. Then, the more difficult part... Learn to keep your bowhand relaxed during the release. Sounds like you're most likely grabbing the bow's handle when you shoot.

And fer Pete's sake! rest up for a day or two before shooting again!;)

IMO paper testing farther than 6 frrt away is uselesseven an mproperly tuned bow will shoot a bullet hole thru paper at 10yards because the arrow has had time to stabelize and streighten out.
if you can get a good hole at 6 feet the bow is tuned for center shot and vertical alignment.
make sure the rest is coming up at the last inch before full draw , because the quicker the rest raises the later it will fall and cause fletch contact this si especially critical with shorter DL.
you also mentioned you are torquing the bow. you will never get a good hole thru paper by gripping your bow.

changing point weight is only a short cut to fix the real underlaying problem If your bow is well tuned it will shoot a good hole regardless of the point weight provided the spine is stiff enough

one other thig if you are shooting all white fletching it will give the appearance of an oscillating arrow (fish taioing)

that is about all the info I can give you without actually seeing the paper tear shot from 6 feet away.

I agree. Paper tuning will only show you if the arrow is coming off the bow straight.

then maybe try "bare shaft tuneing" , for myself I get better results with that method , allthough I used to swear against it , it seems to work for me now . Start close if you try it 5yards or so and then work your way back . If you are useing lite alluminum arrows you may wreck some .
