Default installing a drop zone

i baught a TR drop zone and attempted to install it over the weekend. I mounted the rest and tied the rest string to the cable bus. I put about 30 arrows thru and got it stooting pretty good. but i'm not sure if i tied the string correct. the instruction say you new need a bow press and tie the rest string "thru" the bow string. I not sure if you really need to do this. Is the way i have it setup correct or do i need to bring it to the pro shop to have installed.

thanks for any help.

You do not need to have a press to set up a DZ. I set mine up with out a press although a press would certainly make getting through the cable easier. I had to retie mine a couple of time as the string would bunch up and create contact with my arrow. I just ran the launcher string through the cable in a diffrent direction and it cured the problem.

As for where to tie the string in I do believe it needs to be through the cable and below the rest. you will find that the rest will rise much better if it is set up with this configuration. If you tie to the slide it pulls the cable forward when you draw as the cables are trying to go back. This just can't be good for the bow.
