Default Question??

I just found out that the specs on my bow say that I should shoot a minimum of a 420 grained arrow. The arrows I shoot, and have been shooting are only about 375 grains. I have a 29" draw with a 70# peak with 80% letoff. (PSE FireFlight LC) I shoot a 29.75" Gold Tip Xt Hunter @ 8.2 grains per inch with a 100 sometimes a 125 grain head, ez crests, fletched with the quickspins now. I have consistant accuracy, my bow is in tune. I was just wondering if I am missing something or Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the subject that I dont understand.

warranty on the bow is probably valid only down to 6 gr/lb. "conventional" wisdom says you are safe to 5gr/lb. At 29 inch draw you are probably fine.

What is a problem that I may have by shooting an arrow which is too light?

with a 70lb peak at 5 gr/lb you are good at 350 gr arrow, you are over this. Most companies officially warranty them at 6gr/lb which is 420gr arrows.

MANY MANY people shoot well under 6 or even 5gr/lb. The shorter the draw the lower you can go actually.
