Place a classified ad in local papers "Wanted - BowTech Liberty or Tomcat...yada yada"
and put in a dollar amount. Whoever it is will be looking for places to get rid of these bows. Put in the phone number of a friend who you can trust, and ask him to take calls and info. ...Just an idea.... |

The detectives have been doing a great job (as well as some of my friends and local shops) and some bows have been recovered so far. I'll post more information when it's appropriate to get more detailed. Congrats on the bows that have been found! I just hope the detectives find the rest of them it sounds like there on a pretty good trail! Really sorry about your lose though thats tough! lost mine in 1997 the day after christmas i know how it fills. Hang in there! and keep your head up;)

I found a 2004 patriot dually for sale on e-bay. The guy is located in Emmett (I'm pretty sure it's Ohio) and judging from mapquest it isn't too far from where you live which is the first coincidence. The second coincidence is that he also sold an extreme vft which is also on your list. The third coincidence is that he only started selling bows on 6/25/04 and so far both have been bowtechs (I'm guessing the next one will be bowtech as well). He also says these bows have never had an owner and I don't know too many people who have a bunch of "unowned" bowtechs laying around, well other than you;). The final thing that looks fishy is that the pics look cheesy and the description is really short (maybe like someone doesn't know what they are talking about and just copied info from bowtechs site). Either way the item number is 3688191169 if you want to check this guy out. Another idea would be to contact the last buyer of one of his bows and explain your situation to him and maybe you can give him a serial number and he could tell you if it matches the bow he recently purchased. If it does then bingo. Either way it could be worth checking into. Good Luck. Eric |

The latest report I've gotten was that the Detectives have recovered approx. 15 bows but they haven't given me a list of which ones (however they did say they recovered the Ted Nugent autographed bow), they said the dispatcher wanted to buy it from me...NO WAY!...LOL... I'm really glad that you have some of your bows back. It really ticks me off when people resort to this kind of thing. Also, really sorry about your Mom. I lost my Dad, Sept. '99, my wifes Dad, Feb. 2000, and my Dad's mom March 2000. That was a bad six months. I still miss them, but life goes on. My brother in-law just had a son, looks a lot like my father in-law. Chances are the perp is someone that new the bows were there, Maybe a friend of your daughters. from experience in my family when stuff winds up missing 9 times out of 10 it was a Particular family member, Which I don't trust asfar as I can throw him. I found my infrared game camera to work real well in catching him more then a few times. hehe well good luck in finding your bows friend. I have a friend in toledo who is a big time archery buff I will talk to him and see if he heard anything or atleast keep an eye out for any suspicious to good to be true bow deals.
