Peep alignment

Just picked up my new Outback and for the first time had a peep installed. Thought it was lined up okay but after shooting a 3D decided I needed to tweak it. I had to slide it up the string and now it won't rotate where I can see through it. Is there any way to adjust this without a bow press? I am some distance from the pro shop and hate to make the trip just to have a peep aligned. Also, do most archers center the particular pin in the peep or the whole sight ring? Sorry so long...thanks.

My old bow was set up to center the necessary pin. My new bow has a round pin guard, CJ Pro III, so I am trying to center the guard. A positive note is I need a larger peep, which will help in low light situations. As far as rotation, you might try using a tying a string loop. One of many advantages is it will line up your peep every time, just like a rubber tube, only this one won't slap you in the face.

You can try to full draw your bow, twist the string in the right direction and let it roll-up again. Than make the little adjustments and hopefully it will stay.
To be honest....i think you need a bowpress.
If you are away from the pro shop that far, why don't you buy a field bowpress for little $ ?

If you have the stock string on that mathews , its going to be a continuing problem . Thats one of mathews weak points , along with allmost every other manufacuer , junk strings . Thats why winners choice is in business .
