Default New Limb Savers Ultra...whoa!

I just bought a set of the new Limb Savers Ultra on ebay at a good price. I wasn't sure what to expect from them but have been hearing some good things about them. The ones I have are the split limb variety for my Hoyt Xtec. I placed them where the factory location of my originals were and shot for a while. I could right away notice a big difference. I couldn't beleive it! The only noticable difference between these and the old ones is the shape, but they made a difference. The Xtec has extremely low recoil and vibration levels, but honestly, there is much less than that now. Sims has done it again!

The Stealth models didn't do anything for my Liberty compared to the stock stuff, so I'm anxious to give these new Ultras a try.

I do know that the the "double split limb" version of the NAP ThunderBlox was quite good compared to the stock Stealth Sims on the Hoyt bows I've shot them on. Did lose a couple of FPS, but it was worth it IMO.

The would probable work better if they were not on a Hoyt.

ram96, you are right. Since there hardly is any vibration anyway, its hard to tell a big,big difference. Now put it on say a.....ahh, nevermind.

many bows now have somekind of vibration control built in.

Do you still need this?

I have some originals on my old PSE ,they work.

Actually what I meant was that my Liberty already did not need Limbsavers, and when I did try them for grins, they didn't do anything. I'm curious to see if the Ultras would in fact do something.

Jeff,

I have actually installed them on the MM VFT. They work at least as well as the stock vibrablocks but I would not say "significantly better". For those guys who like to have as much noise/vibration dampening as possible they may want to have both installed on the limbs. It cannot hurt anything.

No, the only thing we need is a bow that propels the arrow forward in a relatively straight line. However, when we pay $700 for a bow, it's for more then that. We want as little vibration as possible, low recoil, low torque grips, strong materials, etc. Very few of us wouldn't pay $20 to reduce vibration even further.
