What bow are you getting?

RE: What bow are you getting?
I have my "Pro38"....miss my Mighty Mite, so it's going to be a toss-up it seems between another Mighty Mite and a Patriot.
It's probably going to have to be a Patriot.....then I'll get a set of 60# limbs for my Pro38 Dual cam to keep it just for 3D.

RE: What bow are you getting?
Renz,
Some folks on here don't realize what a "bow nut" I really am. I really only started posting on here about a year ago though I have been registered for over a year and half.
For the past two years I have been pretty much taken with the new Hoyts. I had a Magnatec, 2 Raiders, 4 Havocs and a Havoctec in that time period....and there were a few other bows from different companies durin that span of time as well.
Before that I shot Martin and Browning mostly though I had a couple PSEs, XIs and a Fred Bear or two. The total number escapes me right now but I would guess it to be over 25 in the last 5 years or so. Usually I have two bows at any one given time but money has been tight lately so I had to sell one of them to get some stuff for the house.
That left me with the Havoctec which I still consider to be the ultimate East Coast Hunter's bow...bar none. But, I couldn't ignore the fact that several folks whose opinions I respect were promoting Bowtech diligently.
So, I figured I would give one a whirl. As I have stated before if I don't like it for some reason then it goes up on Ebay and I will buy another Havoctec.. As for "not considering another Hoyt bow besides the Havoctec"....I never really said that....but I have been shooting Hoyt for quite some time and I would like to own something different for awhile....
...if for no other reason than to prove I was right in the first place...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>....
Seriously though, there is nothing wrong with the Havoctec and I would still put it up against any other bow out there....but, how does that saying go, variety is the spice of life!

RE: What bow are you getting?
Been seriously looking at new bows for about 2 1/2 months now, and plan on getting one in about a month or so. I have it down to about 5 or 6 bows now, and plan on going down and shooting them all before making my final decsision. The bows I am looking at are the Hoyt UltraTec w/xt2000 limbs w/versa cam, or w/cc+. Also am looking at the ProTec w/xt2000 limbs w/cc+. Also plan on shooting the Bow Tech Patriot, Pro 38, and Pro 40.
