Whatever works for you is the way to go. If you are comfy in your shot and it is consistently accurate then don't worry. BUT, if you worryyour anchor point is an 1/8th of an inch off, you worry too much and your shot won't come off as you want it to. Conversely, thinking too much about your shot will throw off your comfort and increase your inconsistencies (HUH?). Create an anchor point that stresses your "wall" and release when you are sure of your target and you will forget the "linear" and maintain your target point. JMHO
