After reading a number of posts, I went to my local proshop to try a Q2XL, which I liked. They also had me try the ultra tec, which I also liked. The shop has always sold hoyt and has just in the last year or two picked up the matthews line. They lean toward the hoyts, but I'm not sure if that's out of loyalty or because they really like the hoyts that much better. As in my previous posts, I want a bow that is smooth, quiet, dependable and virtually maintenance free. What are your experiences with these two bows? Does anyone have another favorite out there that I should look at? Also on the hoyt what are the advantages and disadvantages with the various wheels available?

As far as the Hoyts go the popular cam seems to be the Versa Cam. There are three Diffrent verscams to choose from and you will want to get the one that closely macthes your draw lenght. this the draw length info I got from Hoyt about the versa cams.

I didnt get this info before I got my Cybertec but luckly the shop owner was cool and made sure I got the right one.

I think the ultra tec is top of the line if you like those longer bows, I shoot one at the shop all the time. I love the way it feels, I just choose the cybertec myself because its a little shorter and easier to hunt with. Not saying nothing bad about mathews I just think hoyts product and reputation are hard to beat. New life time warranty is only a added plus.
