RE: Proper form when drawing your bow
Will it matter what kind of speed your bow puts out when your shoulder gets so bad you can't shoot it? Your body is talking to you. Pay attention! I wish I had a dollar for every guy that had to drop out of bow leagues to have shoulder surgery! |
RE: Proper form when drawing your bow
Deer902 the shoulder pain that you are experiencing is from your method. The best way to pull a bow back pain free, is to place your left shoulder in the position it needs to be to shot. I hold my left arm out and place my pins about 1ft to the right of were i want to shot. I pull back with my right arm to draw the bow. Make sure that once at full draw you push and pull the same with the hands. This should get rid of the pain that you are experiencing.

RE: Proper form when drawing your bow
Considering hunting, I prefer to keep my bow arm close to straight, and pull with my back on my release hand side, keeping movement to a minimum. If I get caught, it's easier to stop and hold than the push pull method for me...
