No feathers on Beman 340's???

a guy told me today that he couldn't fletch some Beman ICS arrows with feathers I believe they were 340's. His reasoning was that feathers wouldn't stablize an arrow exceeding speeds of 230fps. I haven't ever heard of this....have you?

Go to TrueFlight or Gateways website they show photos of feathers at 340 fps that still have their full profile. After bull---- like that Pro shop owners wonder why people mail order.

That is a good one.
I have seen guys shoot feathers over 300 fps. Considering the grains per inch weight of the 340s I would not worry too much about "excessive speed" anyway.

He's either lying for reasons known only to him, or he's grossly misinformed. Either way, he's standing on the wrong side of the counter.

Been shooting feathers for over 30 years, at speeds from 150fps to over 300fps. Whoever this guy is, you need to listen to another guy. And Bemans work just like any other arrow.

ok good, for a minute i thought maybe I was misinformed. But I did also notice that the beman website shows some of the 340's with feather fletching. I just kinda chuckled when he told me that then i walked out. that was an interesting experience.
