I am thinking of getting a complete set for my new xtec, but wanted some input from people who have used them on the hoyts. I have used winners choice strings before, but have heard alot of good things about the berry strings. I usually use 8125 material, but have been hearing alot about 452x. Is this better than the 8125? I want something that will last. Which one would you use and why?

BHunter32, I hope you don't maind a reply from one os dreaded Mathews people
, but I just ordered a new string and cable for my new Outback from Berry Strings last week. I put a WC system on my Q2 a few years ago and was very happy with it. I have headrd nothing but good about Berry Strings, and they were a little more than half the price of the WC. I will say this, if the string and cables are half as good as the way Wayne Newberry, the owner, was to work with, then they will be perfect. He was very helpful in explaining all the different options I could go with. Super nice guy. Now it is just a waiting game until my bow and the strings come in. I will post my opinion of the strings when I get them.

Berry all the way!!! Every bit as good as the W/C set I had on my Patriot, and about half the price!!! Let 'em settle for about 50 shots just to settle in, and they're SET. No peep rotation probs. Timing hasn't gone off AT ALL. Tight servings, and the best customer service you'll ever get!!!!
I have a set on my Patriot, and another set on the way for my Mv2. I'll be shooting Berry strings until they quit making 'em.

Proff, don't sweat it buddy, I own two mathews, a lx and a q2xl. I just got the xtec. The best way I know to avoid the hoyt vs. mathews deal is to own them both.
I e-mailed berry strings and they have a 4 week wait, I like their prices better, but I could have a winners choice in 3 days. I hate making decisions.
Thanks for the replies.
