I just got my MM VFT today and was a little dissapointed that it came with a walnut grip instead of the laminated grip. They told me all the latest Bowtechs seem to be coming with the walnut grip. I thought for 04 they all had the laminated grip. Did anyone elses come like this? I love this little bow so I guess I can't complain over that one little thing. Now if I can decide which rest to go with I'll be set. Its either the APA drop away or the Trophy Ridge DZ.

All of the o4 I have seen have laminated grips, are you sure its not a 03.

Thats what I wondered at first but it has the new camo on it and says 04 right on the box. I'm not sure what to make of it. Unless they were trying to get rid of some older grips.

Grip color depends on what they have in stock at the time, and the bow builder grabs. 2004 camo bows come with either walnut or lam. maple.

And yes, a 2003 grip won't fit a 2004 riser and vice versa.

My MM VFT has the walnut grip as well...though my Liberty laminated grip. I am not sure which I favor more yet but they both have their advantages.

My '02 Patriot had the only laminated grip on it out of the 6 BowTech bows that I own, two of which are target with the rosewood grip and they are sweet!!!
