Default Shaky Hunter- Twang! Twang!

What have some you guys done to quite the metal to metal on the rest.
I'm not talking about the forks hitting the shelf or the bow, I'm talking about the falling part where the string attaches when it hits the stop, Twang! I have tried to find something that I can put there but nothing so far works???

I was having the same problem. I was getting that noise when I drew back. (Right before full draw) It is such a small area where metal hits metal. I cant think of anything that would work except that liquid coated stuff that needs to dry. I ended sending mine back and settling for drop zone. I have been very pleased with it to this point.

On the TT I had, when I pulled the arm up with my fingers and let it go it would smack really loud, but when I shot it, that did not happen. I believe the reason was b/c when shot, the string actually lets the arm down a tad bit slower. Are you actually hearing the smack when you shoot? If so, I'm not aware of anything you could do to quite that down...???

I hadn't really noticed it being that bad before, until I got my Stealth Stabilizer today! It took all the noise out of the bow, so when I shoot, all I hear is clink! I am gonna try and quiet it down with moleskin, because I really don't like the sound! My bow is nowhere near as loud as it was without my stabilizer, but the clink I hear stands outs more!

Bm , I tried the small piece of moleskin , it worked a little better but there was still that twinkor clank. I love the patterns that I get with this rest but either the noise goes or the rest goes.

I put a piece of pad on the shelf and have mine set up so it hits the shelf not the stop, doesn't make a sound.

Look at the TT site, they suggest the Moleskin, on the shelf and rest part, look through FAQ's!

I notice that noise if I draw real quick. Honestly, I don't think that its that big of a deal. I'll take the accuracy I get from it over that smidge of noise anyday.

I remember reading somewhere that instead of having the metal tab contact the end of the slot it travels in have the launcher contact the riser shelf before it gets to the end of its travel slot. I think I read this on trophy takers website not sure but if you email them and ask them i'm sure they would help you out lots. They have great customer service!!! I Agree with Muzzyman on this, I don't think that noise is much of a problem at all.

I was having the same problem when i first installed the rest with the tab hitting. I changed it so that the launcher arm hits the shelf before the tab hits and the problem was solved. I have a TT on both my bows and it is an excellent rest imo.
