I don't think my issue was with contact on the launcher arm. I think my feathers are contacting the arrow holder that is stuck on the riser shelf with the adhesive pad.

What Rack said. Also if your'e not shooting cock feather up give it a try, I did away with the supplied arrow holder and used fletching glue to attach a couple of big electrical butt splices to the shelf, covered the shelf with felt/moleskin ( I always do anyway) and it worked great, really holds the arrow on the shelf and because there is actually a gap between the butt splices there's alot of room between the arrow and the shelf.
