Whats with everybody tearing mathews up, just leave them alone, i love mathews and i love bowtech they are both awesome companies. I know many people who own mathews and would not get any other bow. My dad has been happy with his feather light for seven or more years, can't quite remember, and still successfully wins competitions and fills his tags every year.

I don't usually start in on Mathews until I hear another "looks just like a Mathews such and such". Then I feel the need to point out facts like the leaning limb pockets, bad customer service, holier than thow attitude with their advertising, among other things.

Mathews makes a good bow but IMHO there are better bows made.

Another thing is about 25% or more of the posts are about Mathews or Bowtech in one way or another. Bla, Bla, Bla, Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Yeah, we get it they are the best thing since the wonder bra. As I type this there are 13 out of 30 threads on this first page that are about Bowtech or Mathews. That's over 43% of the threads. It really gets old.

Yes I know that I don't have to open the thread but I gotta read something on this board.

Ok, I'll come down from my soap box for a while.

Actually, I'm amazed at how much of the bashing is coming from former Mathews shooters.[]

Frankly, since neither Mathews nor Bowtech makes a bow in my draw length, neither of them interest me very much. Makes this forum a pretty boring place when there's nothing to choose from but Mathews/Bowtech posts.

Archer18, You shouldn't take it personal.............

Look at it like this ......does Ford,Chevy, or Dodge make the best truck ?
Was a Camaro or a Mustang the best affordable sports car ?

It is just personal preferences and mostly "justification for purchasing" !!

LOL! I'd like to have one of those pictures in my back window; one with the kid peeing on a bow instead of a Chevy or Ford. Problem is, nobody could tell from the picture if it's a Mathews or a Bowtech. [>:][&:]

Hey Arthur, what is your draw length again? 32 or 33 inches? The reason I ask is because I thought I saw that the Mathews Ovulation would go up to a 32 inch draw length. You have to give them some credit for adding a couple inches to at least one of the bows in their lineup.

What's my draw? 33 1/2" on a compound, Frank. 32" on a recurve or r/d longbow. 31" with my selfbow. I could do a 32 incher compound if I shot a release and long-looped it.

O-V-U-L-A-T-I-O-N???

Oops, sorry, can you tell that my wife and I are trying for a second child?

Again, my apologies.

This is what a pro Mathew's shooter said: "Mathew's are good bows and all but they are overpriced. Since a lot of people shoot them, they jack up the price and it makes people think they're better bows. I can go up to an archery store and buy a ***** bow and shoot it just as well."
