Default Question about a stabilizer accessory

Is there piece you can get for your bow that screws on where the stabilizer does and works with your stabilizer so that you can fold it over when putting it in your case instead of unscrewing the stabilizer all the time? If so what is it called? thanks for the help!

Yes there is...it`s called a knucklehead. Just about any pro-shop will have them.

JC,

Get a Quick Detach. They are made by Vibracheck and a few other manufacturers in both large and small diameters.
They're the best way to go.
The knuckle can vibrate loose and fall forward crashing into your riser and damage it.

Good question and I've been wondering about that myself. I really don't have a problem with unscrewing it and I figured one of those would be a potential source of unwanted noise. But from the opinions here there must be some well made ones.

Vibracheck is probably one of the best.... and will cost around $25.00

I have tried a couple of these things, in the end it is just more weight where I don't want it. Anything that compromises the forward weighting of the stab is poor weight distribution. On the other hand if one wants to look at areas where bows could really be improved, it would be in the accessory bolt on area. I wish we had something better than these lame threaded inserts, but I am not holding my breath that amo will get together on it any time soon.
