After everyone elses' stuff has been out for 4 months, a few will still be patient and release true " 2004" models---not " Sept/Oct 2003 models"

Jerry-

Rangeball is certainly correct about some of the items slated for Merlins' 2004 release, but it would be stupid to tell everyone about all of the new innovations and pertinent products that you are planning to release before it is time..... the hat from " which the bunny will come" is far deeper than what meets the eye.

For those who have never heard of a Merlin, check out the shooter-input reviews at Archerytalk.com under " Merlin bows" in the General Archery discussion forum. Everyone loves them except for those in true denial.[&:]

The " new products" for 2004 have only started to be unveiled. Word from within the industry is that Christmastime/New Years' will bring many more new " presents" than some might expect. I would advise to not get an itchy check writing hand just yet.

I must strongly agree with JeffB about the new Martin campaign. Altho it will probably work for them and they have admittedly worked hard on their new lineup, to me " T&A" is not the correct way to be introducing families and kids into the sport. JMHO Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

" not the attributes of a bleach blonde w/ big hooters n a skimpy outfit."

Jeff, if you think her hooters are big, we need to talk

I honestly assumed she got the gig because she was related to someone at Martin. If you' re gonna go T&A, you might as well have T&A

On a more technical note, I am wondering what Martin was thinking of when they designed their Hybrid cam. It looks very much like the Darton CPS, but it is rated slower than their one cam with round idler. How in the world are they gonna market that? (Maybe that ad will feature a Redhead?) Seriously though, someone would really have to be interesed in (and believe in) straight and level nock travel to choose that system over the single or the Nitrous cams.

And what' s up with that white grip?[]

Yep, Lisa Wilcox' s first pics I thought were well done and not trashy... unfortunately it went downhill from there. In fact her very first pic in the black jeans is more sexy than all of the new " bimbo" shots combined. JMHO.

But then again, I am partial to blondes in jeans.[&:]

Technical stuff--

The Hybrid is the way of the future. That' s right, you read it here first. Many if not virtually all manufacturers will offer them within the next year or two tops. The conventional solocam is doomed, simply because there are only so many advancements you can make on them before you run out of rope. Darton, then Hoyt and Merlin in early 2003, and now Martin, and from what I understand a few others in 2004 will be releasing thier version, and more will come in 2005. Mathews will be left on an island because they' ve bashed both twin cams and hybrids over the years, therefore have little room to move. Straight and level nock travel will become a standard, and smooth shooting, forgiving bows will take the limelight. So says the crystal ball. JMHO Pinwheel 12
