Default Leveling Sight

Installed a TruGlo Rival Hunter on my Bear Legion. When the bow is straight up and down, the level in the sight is off a whole bubble. I have to cant the bow about 10 degrees to the right to get the bubble centered. This sight does not have an adjustment to level it. Is it OK to shim the sight to level it? If so, what should I use for shims?

Grab some plastic from waste packaging or the side of a laundry detergent bottle. Plenty easy to shim that way.

Now... Why is your riser machined crooked or your sight mount tweaked? That's possibly a more interesting question.

Yep, sounds like you have some faulty equipment there. Could be the riser, could be the sight base, according to where the level is located, it could be the machining for the level itself being off. If you have a torpedo level (short level) take the sight off your bow, stand the torpedo level up straight and plumb, put the base of the sight square up against it and see if that sight level reads level. If not it is your sight, if so then it is your riser machined badly. If it is the riser, then shims like Mercy stated can be used, if it is the sight itself, then take it back and get a new one.

Thanks for the responses. I feel like a total newbie! After I started looking at the sight level I realized it had 3 screws on it. One for 2nd axis and 2 for third axis. Talk about feeling dumb! Thanks again!

LOL glad you got it sorted out. Don't feel bad, we all have brain farts at one time or another.
