Looking for input on what bow to buy next. I have todate been a fingers shooter but I seem to be loosing my ability to have a real consistent release. I was considering a new bow but in the past I seemed to get into technical problems with the NEW bows.
My interests are in dependable, quiet and consistent. Any input would be appreciated.

I shoot a hoyt aspen-65% let off. I believe that is a 43" a to a bow. I am happy with it as a finger bow but I am considering going to a release and maintaing this bow as I currently have it set up.

If you're going to switch to a release you definetely just made your selection of a new bow much larger. Depending on how much you want to spend and what kind of shooting you're going to do (hunting, 3d, target)there are alot of good bows out there, I currently shoot an older Mathews Ultralight but I'm probably going to buy a new Hoyt soon. You should check out all the offerings from the big guys, Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, Parker and also Martin, Pearson, Darton and others.

Everyones right, my opinion is, if the bow feels good to you and is in your price range, buy it.
By the way, I have been thinking of going to Kansas for a whitetail hunt. I have heard all the stories about the monsters there. How is the hunting there? What can I expect?

[Sorry about the error in responding above, I'm brand new to this internet stuff. In response to your question about Kansas deer hunting-it's the only place I've hunted whitetails so I really can't do a fare comparison to any where else. I do know from personal experience that it is not easy to come up with a good place to hunt. I have been fortunate to come up with a place or two that I believe are better than average. In approximately 20 years of AVID bow hunting I have taken 3 P&Y deer. I have never seen any of the monster non-typical deer that has gotten Kansas it's fame. They are still a long shot to come by. I would say if you can find someone that has good property to hunt and you can hunt the first 2 weeks of November you should have a reasonable chance of tagging a nice buck. /quote]
