Hi,

I have a friend that shoots Carbon Impact Fast Shaft XLT 6000 arroww. I have never heard of a 6000 spine and I can't seem to find any info on it. I like the way the arrows shoot and would like to get something similar. Any ideas?

Does that mean when carbon impact says 6000 they refer to .600" of deflection ?

It might, but I assure you it does not mean a 6000 spine. That wouldn't hold up to more than about 5# draw weight at 10" length.

OK, I just got off the CI website. The charts are pretty blurry for me, but it looks like any of the 6000 shafts are around a 400 spine. Hard for me to tell. Maybe somebody with better eyes.

In other words the lighter spines arrows seem to start at 1000 and go up from there as the arrow spine gets stiffer.

This baffles me,is it so darn hard to do like Easton and actually state the actual spine instead of some arbitrary number that has no meaning whatsoever.

I've been saying this for years. I think arrow manufacturers like keeping us confused.

Well I am glad that I wasn't the only one puzzled by this.
