Just wondering what vanes you prefer on your arrows. I switched from 4 inch AEE to blazers a couple of years ago. They work great with my cx maximas and 100 grain slick tricks.

HD - I used 4" vanes, Bohning Blazers, and NAP Quik-Spins all with good success. But lately I've switched to all feathers. Yeah, they are nosier in flight. But I just like them. After the arrows are fletched, and the glue is good an dry, I spray them down with a light coat of slilicon water repellant like Camp Dry or similar.
I think though if I were to go back to vanes I would try the new Fusion vanes by Norway Industries.

Heard of people having issues with the fusions sticking and Norway is aware of the problem.

I switched from 4 inch aae vanes to NAP twisters last yr. They fly good and like them alot. Just picked up a dozen goldtip velocity hunters Friday and they come with what appears to be blazers on them. Will see how they do before changing anything. Going shooting this evening with a friend.

I've talked to a couple of people experiencing the same sticking problem with the fusions. They look like they would be a good vane if they get this problem solved. Bronko, are you putting the feathers on carbons and if so are you doing a helical or straight off set?

I tried some of the zeon fusions and they flew good but the base are clear and a pain to fletch and the edges want to curl up some. Look funny also as if you got jolly ranchers for fletchings

Jolly Ranchers - Now that's funny

HD - I use RW feathers and put a right helical on them using an Arizona EZ fletch tool. Yes I do put them on carbon arrows with no adhesion problems.
