Rangeball, How bout this?
Since it is slow, have you seen the ads for the A.S.D. arrow squaring device from Montec? It is supposed to machine, deburr the end of the insert so your broadheads fit perfectly, no more wobble spin testing etc. I saw it advertised in Peterson' s Bowhunting this month. They don' t say if if works for all broadheads or just theirs? What good does it do to machine the insert face and not the matching surface where the broadhead contacts it?

I' ve not seen that, but it would make sense that two perfectly flat and level surfaces would match up much better... Of course like you said, it would have to do the broadhead as well...
Personally, I' ve never had a problem with irregular inserts or broad head alignment. I would hope that they are manufactured to pretty tight tolerances, since their job is pretty important

I saw that contraption. Sure looked like a big chunk of machined metal.
I' m sure it would work great. BUt a little much for the average Joe to overcome a " hardly ever" problem.
