OK... what color fiber pin do you see best?

At 56 yo old I just can not see the Green pin as well as say a Red pin, so I am installing Red fiber to my single pin sight.

Usually I see green better than red. Can't see the yellow worth a crap. Guess you got to go with what works.

I agree, Green is best then red and yellow is hard to see.

In low light red disappears before orange, orange disappears before yellow, and yellow disappears before green.

Green stays brighter longer than any of the other colors.

I have a luminating bulb that I can turn on near dusk and at dawn.

I'm 56 too and I prefer the green. Red sometimes gives me a double image especially if too bright. To me the green is crisp and clear. I guess it is an individual preference.

51 yrs old green, red , orange can't see the yellow too well hopefully i won't need that pin to often? Do have a light just in case.

Your mileage may vary but in general the human eye has a higher sensitivity for the green (~550nm wavelength) than any of the other colors. The dark gray area of the graph is generally accepted as the typical sensitivity to the various colors of the spectrum. Higher peaks = more sensitivity. Additionally the scale is lograthmic so a change of 1 unit on the vertical axis is a change in sensitivity of 10X.

Most people will see green best, followed by yellow, then orange and red at the bottom of the list. If you happen to be Red/Green color blind then something in the middle like yellow would probably work best.

I'm 52 with very good eye sight, and the green shows up best for me.
