Default help-proper spring tension

How do I know what the proper spring tension is for my NAP quick tune 3000? Is stiff better or just set it at the point where I push it down and it comes back on its own?

Thanks
TG

Softer is better. In fact it best to soften it up till it won't stay up at full draw with the arrow on it. Then tighten the spring up a tad till it does support the arrow. Try tuning from that point.

Too stiff will often give a high tear shooting through paper.
