Default Old, maybe Antique, compound bow

An acquaintance came across this bow when going through his father's belongings. He wanted to know a little more about it and having seen the pictures it appears to be a fairly old, but in great shape, early compound bow. The name that appears on it is Ben Pearson. Draw weight is 55 lbs and shoots aluminum arrows.

Just curious if the members here knew any more about this bow or has had any experience with it?

I beleive the 14683 actually stands for the 14th of June in 1983, that would be the mfg date. Someone correct me if im wrong. I worked at a factory that used very similar ID numbers on some of the things we made for Ford, Chevy, Harley Davidson etc.
