Default How' s it going, guys ?

Haven' t posted on the Bowtech Forum lately so I thought, I would check in to say hello to everyone.
What' s the deal with expanding the tree to read everyone' s reply ?
I prefer to just scroll down like before. Too much clicking for me.
Of course, I can move my pointer alongside each reply to read it but it' s still too slow.
Guess it' s ok if you don' t want to see some jerk' s reply you don' t like to hear from.
Like me, for instance.

Frank,

You still selling and buying ? lol [8D]

Jeff, Matt,

how about some new equipment reports ? I' m bored.

How about a report from you, Frank ?
Oh, that' s right! You have nothing you can report on; you sold it all, lol.

Sag,

Yep, on many counts.

Nub nailed the first one...you can change the format if you like.

Yep, I am still somewhat buying and selling bows. At the moment I have two in my personal possession...an XI Paragon that I bought back from a friend that I sold it to a few years back.....and my current " tinker bow" is a Sterner-Duttera Rhino 31. I believe that will be my choice for a hunting bow this season. Its diminuitive size coupled with its huge brace height and relatively smooth draw cycle should make it ideal for my hunting needs.

I also have a Pat SC on order and hope to have it in a week or so.

I have seen a few of your posts on the various forums but not many. Whacha' shootin' nowadays?

Nub,

Thanks for the welcome back and heads up on the flat format.
I guess, I was too dumb to figure it out.

Frank,

Was kind of burned out for a bit and got back into shooting handguns again.
Bought a new Titanium gold Desert Eagle and a Sig P220 ST recently.
One is for fun and the other for concealed carry.
I used to compete in pin and bullseye matches.
Entered a bullseye match a couple of months ago after a 12 year layoff and happened to win it.
Boy, the handgun fever hit me again!
I wish, I was half the shot with a bow as I am with a handgun!
Well, enough of that off topic stuff.
Started shooting my Merlins again (Super Nova and Max 2000) so I' m regaining my senses.
I have thought about getting a new Max 3000 in camo or another Super Nova in camo with the shorter limbs and Omega cams with 75% let off for hunting.
I' ve seen pics of the Rhino bows and they seem very well made.
If they have any in Bedford, I will look at one in the flesh.
Good luck with yours; got any pics of it ?

Hey Sag........Geez you really HAVEN' T been here in a while have ya?
Glad eveything is going well.
Pistol shooting competitions huh? Wouldn' t want to be the sorry dumbA who breaks into your house![][X(]

I' ve had my eye on a .40 MR " Baby Eagle" for a carry/travel handgun......my only other auto was a Ruger .22 bull barreled target pistol.
I want simple and reliable. Any thoughts?

Ok back on topic..........I heard thru the " grapevine" that the Max3000 /Omega is a SWEET bow. If you do get one please give us the skinny. This time of year we are ALL getting bored!

I' m shooting.......bet you' d never guess!?..........go ahead and try..........BowTech! Can you imagine that?
I just really enjoy these bows, and I' m shooting 2 different " Duallys" A camo Patriot and a Pro40 in red/black/silver target colors.
The Pro40 is seeing the brunt of the workload right now with 3D' s every weekend. Just a super shooting bow, and I' m hoping to put the icing on a review of this model.....just for you Sag!

Just because it' s the " off season" doesn' t give you the right to disappear.

Matt,

The Baby Eagle is an extremely rugged pistol and a great buy.
I love the Sigs quite a bit too but they' re much more expensive.
Yes, I was once a great handgun shot even if I do say so myself. [
Still can shoot pretty well but not like in the past.
My friends and competitors called me " dead eye" .
The best complement I ever received was when an FBI agent told me I was the greatest shot with a handgun he had ever seen.
Enough of my bragging ramble on off topic subjects, lol.
You shooting a new Bowtech, Matt ? Man, I wouldn' t have guessed that in a hundred years.
Figured you would have come to your senses and got a Merlin by now.
That includes you too, Frank
If I get the Max 3000 with Omega cams, I will give you guys a report.
In the meantime, Field 14 is talking about his Max 3000 with Omega cams on AT if you hadn' t noticed.
Well, got to go. But, before I go, remember this.
If you' re not shooting the equipment Ol' Sag. is shooting, you' re not shooting the best! [X(]

Do not think that I have not considered it. Since I seem to have my hunting repertoire together I guess I need to get one of those fancy lookin' target bows. Both the Supernova and Max 3000 would be high on my list.

In the mean time, Field 14 is talking about his Max 3000 with Omega cams on AT if you hadn' t noticed.
Yep, saw it....especially the part about 75% letoff...

I have pics of the Rhino 31 on the home computer as I was hoping to put together a little something for the forum but just have been too busy to do so. I will see if I can post some of them later this evening. Until then....

Frank- I have the new version of the Merlin Quest35 w/ Omega cams on order with Kevin for my new hunting bow. I' m curious to see what the Omegas would feel like on my Super Nova, but can' t spend the extra money to order one of those too. Soooooooo, maybe a Max3k with Omegas instead.....

Do either of you have pictures of the Omega cam? I want to see how similar it is to the Darton CPS and the Hoyt Cam and a Half. I always forget what that Merlin website url is...merlin-something-uk.com or other.

Frank,

If you want a target bow, I would have to recommend the Super Nova.
Absolutely, the most beautiful compound bow ever made, imo.
With the new cam options available for it this year, you could even shoot 3-D with one. Especially, with your 31" draw length!
