Todd I had the same problem when i used the Gold Tip EZ points. I had several that would pull the insert out. I just went back to my regular points. I also now use Powerbond to glue in my inserts and have had no more trouble. But I definitely won' t use the Gold Tip field points any more. I sure love their arrows though.

I like to scuff the inside of the shaft but I think what works the best is taking a small file to the inserts and putting a couple small grooves in various place around the insert.I also use 24 hour epoxy to glue the inserts in and since starting these steps I havn' t had a single insert pull out.

I use Krazy glue on my gold tip inserts and have yet to have one pull out. The originals were epoxied and have lost of few of those. Try Krazy glue, cheap and readily available.
