Check out my home made target + paper range
I couldn't justify spending $100+ for a silly paper range so i decided to create my own using some left over 2x4's. Took about 2 hrs. It looked sorta crappy but works. Didn't care whether or not it was good looking...
Bought the foam block from fleet farm and can take 60#. I was shooting from like 15 yds. Couldn't paper tune any better than this.. I think it's good enough for now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I've shot through worse setups than that - whatever works. And those look like nice bullet holes. Nice job.

good work in saving some money. If it works, it works.

RE: Check out my home made target + paper range
I've made targets and "made-do" for many years. I actually posted a way I made a target last year and I certainly agree that sometimes the home made ones are better and definatly more cost effective..

My 3D target deer has silicon foam spayed in it to fill in the hole where everyone shoots it at.

Personally, I think You may be using too thick of paper for paper tuning. Those paper targets are made of thick card, unless your using some I don't know about. I prefer news paper as it is thin and will tear easily, but that thicker stuff may not be giving you the truth. Just something to think about.
