RE: Cam and a half? Hoyt versus Mathews?
Lots of great bows on the market but I will keep my Hoyt. Killed nine deer last season and never let me down. IL BOW MAN, time to circle up the wagons, the attack is on. Some people are just to sensitive. Keep an open mind.

ORIGINAL: kotklegg yesterday I hit a bulls eye at 100 yards. How do you even see a bulls eye at 100 yards? |
RE: Cam and a half? Hoyt versus Mathews?
Kotklegg, now those numbers sound much better. That is just what I had expected had happened. This is quite common.I have had a bunch of people tell me they were only pulling 60# and when I pull their bow back I would inform them that they were mistaken and misinformed.
8ptup,Darton did have the first cam 1/2 design( available on market) but they marketed it as a 1 cam with level nock travel. To say that Hoyt stole the design is ludicrous.Have you actually held the 2 side by side. They really aren' t that much alike. No more alike than say,a 2 cam verses another 2 cam. They are a similar idea but that is as far as you can take it. Really just about everything available is a refinement of somethinmg that came before it. |

RE: Cam and a half? Hoyt versus Mathews?
The Hoyt cam and a 1/2 is actually nothing like the Darton C/P/S. The darton C/P/S is a solo cam with a idler wheel that mirrors the movement of the power cam.

RE: Cam and a half? Hoyt versus Mathews?
Sorry Doc, that top whatsits on the Dartons a cam. Its lobed. Doesnt matter where the harness attaches, if its lobed its a cam. Besides its impossible to get level nock travel without it being lobed. Same with the Hoyt. They can call it what they want, but if that babys lobed and giving level nock, its a cam.
