I just like to know what I'm buying. I save money that way.

Hey Centaur post a pic of your custom stab. I want to see how you did it -- looks interesting. How heavy is the end weight? I am at 12 in 17oz stinger and I love it. Not a pain to hunt with like I thought it might be.
Here's a couple of pics of the finished stab, the QD is homemade also. I had to take it apart to weigh it, my scale maxes out at about 2.5 ounces(100 grams). The Sims modular nodes weigh about 2 1/4 ounces each for a total of 6 3/4 ounces with the setup that I have. The extension with the arrow shafts weighs about 1.5 ounces and the QD is about 1 1/4 ounces. Total weight is 9 1/2 ounces. I don't know if it really helps but I angled the face of the QD 10 degrees downward because it supposedly helps steady a bow with a short ATA length.

I'm impressed.

This company stole my idea and they're selling a stabilizer kit. They supply the end pieces and you supply the arrow pieces cut to whatever length you want.

Dude, that sucks. I suppose there is no way for you to prove that they did it. I like the multiple rod design, but I think that there needs to be dampening materials in the rods like many high end stabilizers. I would like to see an octane with three smaller rods in it and the rest of it be the same.

I'm sure that they didn't have a camera in my garage, heck Igot the idea after seeing the multi-rod doinker. I tried several times to add dampening material (sand, RTV,etc.) and I didn't notice a difference. What did make a difference was the Sims nodes over the doinker, these things work.

Did you try it with bowjax?

Thats pretty cool but I was refering to the sting/octane stab -- that this is sick

What do you mean, you were referring to that octane stabilizer?

My bad -- i think it must have been on AT or something. Some guy took an octane stab and rigged it to put the B-stinger weights on the end of it -- It is pretty sharp looking.
