RE: advantages and disadvantages???

Well that is the other advantage to speed bows. You can shoot them at a lower poundage and still get decent speed. That's a good plan. I was just thinking that he could really get a lot out of an 80# tuned x-force.

^ no doubt. Hes fixing to have shoulder surgery so there is no way hes gonna be able to shoot it after that imo. he says he will be fine but i call bs on him. i told him he needs to get a 50-60# newer bow cuz it would still be plenty fast and easier to draw. his royal hunter shotaround 290like 4 years ago. and that was with 15 year old technology lol!
Derek
Once he goes out and shoots a NEW parallel limb 60# bow that will shoot faster than that "antique" he may be SOLD!!!! Some guys, myself included for a time, thought they had to have HE-MAN Bows, 80# because REAL MEAN shoot heavy bows. I do still shoot 70, but I'm also a big guy 6' 240-ish, but I CAN shoot an 80-90# bow couldn't get the 100#-er back though, as it just felt too tough. My next bow will be a moderate speed 60#-er though, as I'm getting too damn old to shiver in a tree, then try to draw a bow. Speaking of, I have a date.......
