RE: FOC calculation
I don't even want to try and wrap my brain around it.
Go here. http://home.att.net/%7Esajackson/archery.html Arrow FOC and Weight, second one down on the menu. Click on your brand of arrow or the equivalent and plug in your numbers. Record that weight and FOC then change the length to what you intend to cut your arrows at and run it again. That'll tell you what you want to know.

RE: FOC calculation
Depending on how much you cut off them you will see a slight rise in the FOC but the spine will be stiffer so to get the spine back in check you will have to go to a heavier head or even a brass insert either 50ge or 100gr.
Once again it all depends on how much you cut off.

I think that FOC is blown way out of proportion these days. Sure its important and all... but only if you have haneously too little or in certain limited cases extremely too much. Especially with carbon arrows... if you are over 9 and under 20 then you are fine... I'd be more worried about the change in the spine/reaction of the arrow.

You remember what FOC the arrows are for the Black Ice? The Extreme are 20% if I remember corretly but I may have to depend on the B/I or Extreme since the son is plinking with the Victory andit needs new string.I may restring it and have all 3 I can depend on...I'm lethal with all 3...on targets.
