vanes or feathers with biscuit
I want to hear from people that have used both with a biscuit and which one they liked best. Also what offset or helical it was. Please don't respond with something like use a drop away or a prong rest because I love my biscuit and I'm not changing it. I am thinking of changing back to feathers though. Thanks.

Vanes, and the more rigid the better. Feathers will chewed all to hell through a biscuit. Something along the lines of the Blazer vane are the best option, unless you just really like refletching your arrows.

Hmmm, I just don't understand all this vane chewing stuff you guys talk about ifyou guys are using the newer bisquits with the brown bristles... maybe becauseim shooting a a little slower than most, i shoot 2413, or 2215's with 125gr heads@27in. and about 60lbs. w/271/4 draw length. The older bisquits I just cut out for the fletching.

As said, the WB will eventually chew up your feathers and vanes will last longer - cosmetically. Stiffer, more durable vanes will maintain their shape better; such as Blazers, VaneTech, Norway Savage and Predator, etc.
Feathers will work fine through the WB, they just won't look as good for as long; if that matters to you. Feathers can take a reall beating and look terrible but still fly perfectly. I've had pieces of feathers missing and the ends and edges all chewed to hell and they still flew. Although you should do it with vanes as well, it is even more important that you put a drop of glue/epoxy on the front of the quill base to secure it down better and allow the bristles to ride up over it easier. I personally put a drop at the front and back.
So, I would say it really boils down to more is if you care what your fletch looks like after a while. As for offset, helical, or straight fletch, it does not matter through the WB. That should be whatever you prefer no matter what the rest. I have used all three through the WB in the past with all kinds of results with different broadheads, speeds, etc.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm getting ready to order some more arrows and I was just trying to decide which to fletch with. All I've used since changing to the biscuit has been the regular goldtip vanes on an offset. I never had the wrinkling or tearing problems you hear about. I am going to try feathers this time around just to experiment and increase the FOC a little bit.

This is only my 3rd year with a bow and I also will not change the whisker. I have heard that you are not suppose to use quick spins with them. Thats what I use.Any truth to that?

Unless you cut it out like sixgun did the biscuit will eventually warp the vane a little. In my estimation not enough to matter but still a little. I personally dont shoot a biscuit right now but I will be putting it back on my bow for hunting season. I use vanetec vanes and they hold up pretty well.

The Quick spins will work decent through WB but the tab on the end of vane is like a speed bump going through rest.Feathers will work good for awhile because the give a little going through biscuit but as mobow stated you will be replacing them often.Blazers or similar vanes work the best in my opinion.

Feathers wear quickly, Qickspins get wavy and are not real durable for the biscuit. Of all the fletching combo's I have tried 3 blazers work the best through the biscuit. I have found nothing better.

IMHO I think Blazers are the best option for a WB.
The Hostage and Hostage Pro are great options for full containment rests if you wanna shoot feathers without all the contact.
