RE: Stock Bowtech strings...
We, here at RockSolidStrings.com will do floating yokes if they are ordered but we usually recommend the Static yoke, due to the Static yoke Being More tunable in accordance with each individual bows Cam Lean! Some bows Have no Cam Lean at all... expecially with some of Todays Newer Model Bows!! But there are some bows that have a lean problem pretty Regularly to where the Static Yoke would be optimal to be able totwist up one side or the other to Fix the Lean Problem!!
Its all in what you prefer though.....Some people Swear by the Floating yokes and Some would do the same about the Static yokes!! 6 in one hand and half a dozen in another!!;) |
RE: Stock Bowtech strings...
Might sound like a dumb question but what is the difference between a static and a floating yoke?
|
RE: Stock Bowtech strings...
Static yoke is made into your cable to where you cable hooks to your cam then comes up and splits and goes to both sides of your top limb!
A Floating yoke is a cable made from 2 seperate peices......you have the Cable that attaches to your bottom cam then it would come up and usually have a little loop at the end.....then there is the second peice that runs from one side of the top limb and goes through the Cable loop and back to the other side of the top limb! Which when Drawing will adjust equally to put the same amount of pressure on either side of the top limb! |

Glad I could Help!! |
RE: Stock Bowtech strings...
Well granted that my bow is fairly new, I like the Bowtech string and when it is time I will probably replace it with a Bowtech string. And they will twist what ever colors you want as well.

RE: Stock Bowtech strings...
I have a 2003 Bowtech Extreme VFT and it had been shot alot. Just had some serving separation and replaced it last week for the first time. My proshop makes their own string and cables and I had that put on, rather than purchasing the name brand. It's a bit cheaper and just as good, at least I've had no issues in the past with the homemades on other bows.
