I posted earlier that a MUZZY spokesman told meINSERTS weren't necessary when shooting Easton Axis arrows with Muzzy boadheads. I mis-spoke and should havewritten BROADHEAD ADAPTOR RINGS rather the INSERTS. I have used Axis arrows for years without BAR's and never encountered any problems. I have some ACC 3-39 BAR's which fit Axis arrows perfectly.

Not to be disrespectful but IMHO that would be a mistake and no advantage I can think of.

I find the most important thing with Axis arrows is making sure the end is square. If you do that any good BH should work well.

LOW TEMP hot melt does give you better adhesion absent of voids. This is much better than epoxy that can have voids and can run causing lumps when it dries BUT it is dangerous when dealing with straight carbon shafts. It can be done but one must be careful not to heat the carbon. The provided epoxy is probably best for the hit inserts and their intended purpose.

Getting away from hunting arrows into long range shooting, hot melt is definately preferred. You will even see people dropping their arrows on the floor to listen for the vibration. You can HEAR when the glue has voids in it,believe it or not.

I learned this from someone that tunes arrows for world class shooters.

TFOX are you saying Low temp hot melt gives a stronger bond than the Easton HIT Epoxy?

3 things that don't mix are heat, carbon, & your average arrow builder.

It gives you a better bond, not necessarily stronger. It is more even and is absent of voids when done correctly without clumping.Yielding better consistancy from arrow to arrow at extreme distances.

Plus you can remove points when installed with it.

I agree, heat, carbon and average arrow builders are a bad mix, that is why I made the statement to use the provided epoxy for the intended use.

My info was just a fyi post. You said you couldn't think of the advantages, that was the only reason I posted it.
