Default evaluate this setup

i have a 8 year old mountaneer bow with 80% letoff
shooting 29" 2315s at 64#=@214fps=@53fps k.e.with fingers
is this about right? is it good enough for its first archery elk trip this year?
killed many deer with it but dont kow a bout elk
is this brand decent?
it is quiet as all get out though.
anyinfo /opinions are apppreciated
you guys are a wealth of info

I know nothing about the bow, but put a good broadhead on the end of that arrow and put the arrow in the right spot and you are fine for elk.

Put a quality cut-on-contact head on the end of that stick and I wouldn' t worry about it again. Steelforce, magnus, zwikey to name a few. I personally would go with a steelforce.

new idaho record elk was just shot in idaho with a 53# darton. your bow will be just fine with a good head.
