RE: speed of my new bow
would arrow wraps give me some extra weight that would help?
|
RE: speed of my new bow
wraps would add more weight, but only 7-12 grains. They would also lower your FOC.
Try inserts behind the broadhead to add weight, or try some heavier broadheads. I know you can buy 125 and 175 grain broadheads. These will really raise your FOC and should help w/ the KE. |
RE: speed of my new bow
150 grain broadheads would put you up to 40.31 ft/lbs
175 grain broadheads would put you up to 43 ft/lbs 200 grain broadheads would put you up to 45.69 ft/lbs all of this is rough, it's hard to tell w/out knowing your arrow velocity, I used 220 as a rough guess. Plus 200 grain BH's would put your FOC probably around 20%, depending on shaft length/spine size. |
RE: speed of my new bow
ORIGINAL: millerhunter13 i just added that into a KE calculator off of goldtip's website and it said that i would have only 37 (rounded) foot pounds of KE which isnt enough to kill a deer according to the calculator it should be 40 and up. am i doing something wrong? |
RE: speed of my new bow
as long as my setup will work good for whitetails i am ok, that is all i will be using it for.
