Default Hit 318 with Marquis

We were messing around last night at the shop different arrows, poundage etc. I am shooting the Marquis and after installing new strings and cables with a 28" draw an honest 350 gr. arrow at 28" I hit 318.4. I give a lot of credit to our string man. With a 450 gr. arrow I was still hitting 284. Pretty impressive I thought.

Yeah, I really had to back mine off and add weight to my arrow to get down to a ASA legal 280.

The Marquis is an awesome single cam bow. Does not get the credit it deserves thats for sure.

Absolutely!! This bow is a bit more aggressive than some Mathews I have owned but, a super solid backwall, silent, fast, no vibrations or recoil. I couldn't be happier.

I've been looking at getting one. I need to get some more pennies saved up.

HUMM I think I might need to change my string! I'm guessing the mine shoots around 300fps at 57 lbs 291 grain arrow 28 in draw

I know 2 custom stringmen. I went with the 452 X. If you need a contact let me know.

Factory strings are 452X. Congrats on the Marquis they are most definitely a top of the line single cam Bow.

Dan, I am just curious about your feelings about VaporTrail's VXT strings and their claim that they are "up to 10 fps faster" - and whether that would apply to a string-to-string vs. the 452X?

I think VT strings are as good as there are out there, Bar None! As far as being the fastest? I am sure everyone would like to be the fastest and some wild claims are made in the String industry, not neceassrilytalking about VT. I will have a more definite answer to your question in a week or so at least as to how it applies to my Bow. I like to play and tinker a lot because that is a way to learn and get answers. I also think Bowtechs factory strings are very high quality, butI do feel naked without a spare set of strings on my travels.
