Your Zebra string will last, last, last !!! About 25,000 + shots. Just keep it waxed. Do you shoot a string loop ? I put a little dot of superglue gel on my top knot when my peep is lining up,then it is always lined up(and can be broken loose if needed).

I HAVE A Q2XL ALSO.
MY CABLE COMPLETELY WORN OUT AFTER 6 MONTHS, SO I REPLACED IT.
MY STRING SEEMS TO BE FINE SO FAR.
I ALSO REPLACED THE CABLE SLIDE WITH A TEFLON SIMS SLIDE, THAT SEEMS TO BE BETTER ALSO. I SHOOT A SUPER HUNTER PEEP W/O A RUBBER TUBE NOW A IT SEEMS TO STAY IN PLACE (AFTER ALOT OF FOOLING AROUND.) I THINK I AM GOING TO TRY A NEW "WINNERS CHOICE" STRING AND CABLE THIS SUMMER, I HEAR THAT THEY DON'T STRETCH.
GOOD LUCK.
