How do you serve a string for STS stabilizer

Default How do you serve a string for STS stabilizer

I am going to purchase a STS stabilizer and was wondering how to serve string where it contacts STS and what size serving thread to use.

I'm sure the STS will have instructions andserving with it. If not you want a normal size serving and start at the edge of one side. Tie a lap over to start and then start to cross the serving on each side of the string up or down to the other edge keep it as tight as possible and then knot it. I also used super glue on the knot to keep it togeather.

Sometimes I hand serve it and sometimes I use my serving tool. It works either way. Start wrapping over a tag end and keep wrapping around the string tight. Once you get close to the amount you want served loop a 4" or approx piece of serving placing loop to the end where you will end. Wrap over the doubled up piece 4 or 5 times thread the end through the loop and pull it back under itself. Then you can cut the excess and burn it flushCareful

I've always said String Suppressors are great regardless of which one you use. That's a personal choice!

I'm considering a STS for my 03 model and I will buy it from a member! So guess I'll be getting one from Dan!I like to keep my buiness here if possible! String from Gibblet,bows from Txjourneyman and Bigwoods,advice from everyone,and the STS will be MeanV2 when I get out of poorhouse.
